Development
After studying many different styles of martial arts, Jason David Frank determined there was not one definitive style of martial arts and created his own, “Toso Kune Do.” Literally translated, it means “Way of the Fighting Fist.” Toso Kune Do incorporates many aspects of varying martial arts disciplines and self-defense methods and is the basis for the style taught at Rising Sun Karate School.

Style Of Fighting
Toso Kune Do is based on the teachings of American martial arts masters such as Bruce Lee, Ed Parker, and others. These masters combined different martial arts disciplines in order to seek truth in self expression. This American Martial Arts System.

Toso Kune Do is an open system that promotes self-discovery in the martial arts through the appreciation and respect of all forms of martial arts. Transcending style and culture, Toso Kune Do seeks to develop the universal truths not limited to martial arts, but reaching into the all facets of life. Toso Kune Do teaches skills and lessons that can be used in everyday situations, staying positive, preparing for success, and ultimately improving your own life.

Toso Kune Do gives students the opportunity to explore their own path to martial arts excellence by exposing them to various philosophies, concepts and techniques. The variety allows for the student to remain interested and motivated, leading to an appreciation, understanding and respect for other cultures, leading to a fuller personal life experience.

Inspired by Kyoshi Sokomoto, the leader of the Alpha stunt team in Power Rangers, the term Toso Kune Do represents more than its literal translation (The way of the fighting fist). In practice, it stands for the student’s continuous journey towards personal excellence.

Toso Kune Do is a system incorporating multiple styles of martial arts, multicultural philosophies, and physical aspects including dynamic kicks, elusive hand techniques, and powerful restraining holds.
