I started boxing at age 14 in the small town of Cement Oklahoma, under the direction of Coach
Danny Youngblood who was also a Retired US Marine and former fighter. Coach Youngblood coached me through 2 Golden Gloves and Silver mitt Championships.Coach Youngblood was awarded best coach 2 years in a row and I was awarded best fighter in my division and best over all fighter in the 1980 -1981 Golden Gloves. I also won several local championships.
After graduating college in 1986, I decided to join the Marine Corp. I received a invitation to join the All Marine Boxing Team which I was honored to be a selected member. Our team went on to win many tournaments and championships fighting in International competitions, places like Africa, Asia, Australia, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Columbia, and all over the United States and simply loved it.
After many battles I decided to pursue training and coaching and was offered the head coaching and trainer position I went on to coach 26 tough highly awarded international teams. Coaching was very gratifying and fulfilling, I certainly feel I've gave what was given to me and will continue to do so.
My wife Marina is also a coach and dedicated to helping our boxers achieve there goals, whether it’s training for competition or self improvement. Together we have years of experience it isn’t something we just decided to do on a whim we have trained fighters for Golden Gloves competitions and National competitions trust me we know what we are doing and the results will show after 30 days with the intense training plan we have in place. We are passionate about what we do and this is not about making money our gratification comes from seeing fighters progress and grow in the sport of boxing.
