The Okinawan Karate School, INC is more than just another martial arts school. We are a family, from our fun annual events (including easter egg hunts, halloween haunted houses, parent's night out, etc.), to our exceptional teaching techniques.
We are a traditional karate school teaching the art of Shorin-Ryu Matsubayashi-Ryu karate-do. Matsubayashi-Ryu was founded by Master Shoshin Nagimine in 1947, but can be closely traced back to the original art of Te (which is hundreds of years old). You will find traditional Karate taught at our school with a high level of discipline all while sweating and having fun. We begin training at 3 years of age, at both our Macon and Forsyth locations. Students at Milledgeville begin training at 10 years old. Milledgeville offers the Shito-Ryu style of training.
Here at Okinawan Karate School, INC, we offer programs in Kids Martial Arts, Adult Martial Arts, Birthday Parties. All classes are professionally planned and conducted in a disciplined manner to develop a proper attitude within the student.
We concentrate on realistic self-defense for the kids and adults above age 6 but always keep classes fun and interesting. Our main student body is kids ages 6-12 and we have a great family atmosphere with tons of free events like Christmas parties, making friends parties, open houses, etc. along with paid events like seminars and Parent's Night Out. It is the ONLY traditional and “actual Karate” school in the area. We have police officers and military students as well as soccer moms and accountants. We plan on continuing to be one of the top schools in the nation with our awesome curriculum, great Instructors, and wonderful customer service!
