Everybody has some opinion on what an athlete should look like. Hell, even what a regular person should look like. But like we discussed in the Strong Enough post, there is too much variability to honestly answer this question.

Everything from the Body Mass Index to the Golden Ratio to comparing ourselves to elite athletes has been, and continues to be, used to give us a glimpse at “perfection”. Unfortunately, the chaos of reality prevents us from ever establishing that goalpost. Every time we think we’ve got it, an outlier comes along to prove us wrong.
