What is training like?
Training begins with easy warm-ups and advances through fundamental movements. Classes will often include:Introduction to technique with throwing, falling, pinning and striking.
Exploration of alternatives.
Avenues of self-defense.
Sword and staff.
Who can train?
Our aikido classes are developed so that people may practice with little limitation due to age or injury . We also welcome students with previous martial arts experience.
How do I get started?
Come down to the dojo and we schedule your classes. You will spend a few minutes of your first eight classes with an advanced practitioner focusing on core principles.*
