About Me

Hi, my name is Andrew. I've had the passion and drive to exercise for many years now, but started taking it more seriously when it came to education around 5 years ago. At that point I started taking a course through the International Sports Science Association to become a Certified Fitness Trainer. After passing that course and getting the necessary fundamental components in place - such as insurance - I ventured on my journey to learn more and help others.

Over the years I've acquired multiple more certifications through the International Sports Science Association, and I am currently working on an additional certification (Exercise Therapy). I've helped many people, both men and women, make great strides towards their fitness goals, whether it be to gain muscle, lose fat, or prepare for boot camp or an academy.

My business, Code 3 Fitness, offers clients a fully private training experience in a private gym. That means all equipment and space is for myself and my clients, so we don't have to wait on some strangers to get off of the machine I was hoping to train you on. I can craft and modify workouts to be tailored for your specific needs, whether that be due to a goal or a previous injury. I also tell clients that they can text me or e-mail me at any time with questions or concerns with no additional fees attached; I promise to respond within 24 hours or less.

I also give discounts to military and first responders to thank them for their selfless service. As a former volunteer firefighter myself for 4+ years, I am also certified Firefighter I via the Yaphank Fire Academy. I also have experience with training police officers for their respective academies.

What to Expect

Training sessions may fluctuate in content overall depending on the client, their goal, and any contraindications from previous injuries or medical issues. However, most sessions start with an aerobic warm-up, stretching, strength training, some circuit training, and a cool down with stretching. I listen to my clients and their complaints. If a certain exercise isn't working for you, I will modify the movement to try and make it more comfortable while still biomechanically correct. If that doesn't work, I choose other exercises to get the job done. There is always multiple avenues to take when it comes to general fitness. While I push my clients, overall comfort is key as well.
