Gabriel Gonzaga (born May 18, 1979), is a Brazilian born professional mixed martial artist currently competing in the Heavyweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
Gonzaga won a gold medal in the Ultra Heavyweight division at the 2006 Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Mundials, which is considered to be the top BJJ competition in the world.
In 2007 he fought Randy Couture for the UFC Heavyweight title at UFC 74. Gonzaga's head kick knock out of Mirco Cro-Cop is widely regarded as the best in UFC history.

Gonzaga was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and began training in judo when he was 14 years old for a month, before transitioning to Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ), under the tutelage of Wander Braga that was student of Jorge Pereira that was studentd of Rickson Gracie. Gonzaga would go on to achieve many accomplishments in the sport like nationals in Brazil for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) before transitioning into a career in MMA.
