About Our School

Texas White Tiger Tae Kwon Do was first established in 2009, by Master Seong Tae Kim as an institution devoted to the teaching of Martial Arts. Ever since then, our main objective has been to provide our students with the highest quality instruction and training in the mental and physical discipline of Tae Kwon Do. In today's demanding society, the need for self-discipline and good health becomes imperative. As an art, Tae Kwon Do is unprecedented for instilling both of these, through the development of self-confidence, humility, respect, security, and physical fitness.

About Our Instructors

Seong Tae Kim, master Instructor, is the owner and chief instructor at Texas White Tiger Tae Kwon Do. He has over 30 years experience in Tae Kwon Do, and is recognized internationally for his Tae Kwon Do skills and teaching methods. Master Seong Tae Kim is a 7th Dan Black Belt in Taekwondo, a 4th Dan Black Belt in Hapkido, has a MS Degree in Physical Education and Teaching, with a specialty in Tae Kwon Do from the world famous Yong In University in South Korea. He is a Kukkiwon Level II Certified Instructor, a USA Taekwondo Level I Coach, is Vice Chairman (and past Chairman) of Poomsae Development with the Texas State Taekwondo Association, and is a professional Taekwondo demonstrator who has traveled to several countries throughout the world. Texas White Tiger Tae Kwon Do is the leading provider of Tae Kwon Do in the League City/Friendswood/Dickenson/Webster/Clear Lake area.

Master Kim loves to share his knowledge of Taekwondo with his students. He enjoys and is passionate about teaching Taekwondo to children, adults, and families, to help them grow healthier, stronger, more focused & more confident. Providing high quality training means more than training just technical skills. Training in Taekwondo includes character development and leadershp skills, such as cooperation, respect, self-control, focus, and confidence, which are essential elements of truly learning Tae Kwon Do. We know from experience that Tae Kwon Do training benefits students. Students develop positive character traits that carry over into their daily personal and professional lives, at school, at home, at work, and on the playing field.

When selecting other instructors, Master Kim looks for outstanding men and women who have both a high level of martial arts skills and a passion for sharing them with others. Master Kim provides leadership and instructor training to outstanding elite students who have shown their dedication to the art, and have a desire to share their knowledge with others. Providing and maintaining a high quality of instruction is very important in all that we do. We are confident that while watching any of our staff in action, you will see that our instructors love what they do!

About Our Curriculum

Master Kim personally oversees curriculum taught in our school. Classroom Instruction is designed to be of highest quality, with a balance of traditional Tae Kwon Do, practical self defense, Sport Poomsae, and Olympic style sparring skills. Master Kim's philosophy is that Tae Kwon Do is about self improvement as well as self defense. This is evident in our teaching methods. Life skills are taught along with the physical techniques. We help students of all levels to gain increased focus, confidence, and determination that they can apply to all areas of their lives.

About Our Facilities

Master Kim opened Texas White Tiger Tae Kwon Do in 2009, in a space adjacent to the current location. In 2013, Master Kim moved to the current location in order to enlarge the training area, and add Olympic level flooring. The school provides a spacious, clean, and safe environment for students and families. We use modern equipment, and the school was custom designed with the comfort of students and families in mind.

About Our Location

We are happy to serve students from League City and Friendswood, as well as surrounding areas such as Dickensen, Webster, Clear Lake, Sante Fe, Kehma, Texas City, and Galveston. Our school is conveniently located approximately 2.5 miles from I-45, on FM 518 (called W. Main Street in this area), and Magnolia Estates Dr. Our address is: 3612 W. Directions from I-45:  Exit FM 518 and travel (towards Friendswood) for about 2.5 miles to Magnolia Estates Dr.
You'll pass Ross Elementary on the left, and a CVS Pharmacy on the right.  The next light is Magnolia Estates Dr..
You can see our large TAEKWONDO sign from the light.
Turn right onto Magnolia Estates Dr., and then an immediate left into the parking lot.  Our school is at the end.

Directions from Pearland/Friendswood: travel on FM 518 towards I-45
(Our school is approximately 2.5 miles from I-45)
On FM 518, you'll pass Creekside Intermediate school at Palomino.  The next light is Magnolia Estates Dr.
Turn left on Magnolia Estates Dr, and then an immediate left into the parking lot.
