Adam loves jiu-Jitsu. He began training in 2004 under Maurício "Tinguinha" Mariano in Southern California. After relocating to the East Bay, he trained under Alexander Crispim, then later, settling further north, he now trains under Tom Knox (3rd degree black belt) and Cleber Luciano (5th degree black belt).

To serve the San Francisco East Bay area, he opened his own academy Elite Team East Bay in Richmond, where Tom and Cleber now serve as technical directors.
